Flu Clinic Comes to Mapleton Dec. 9

Burgess Health Center will hold a seasonal flu shot clinic at Mapleton Community Center Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 9 to 11 a.m. for persons who make appointments.

The hospital was forced to cancel many of its scheduled October clinics due to the unavailability of seasonal flu vaccine, a shortage that has affected many communities.

Home Health will bill Medicare Part B for the cost of the vaccines for those who have Medicare Part B. Persons should have their Medicare number available.

Walk-ins will not be accepted. Persons must make an appointment by calling weekdays at 712-423-9181.
