Indy Chabra, MD, PhD, is a Board-certified Dermatologist, and also Board-certified in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancers. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. His mission is to provide the best Dermatology patient care possible – with excellence in access, quality, and integrity. Dr. Chabra practiced Dermatology for 10 years at Midlands Clinic Dermatology, where he served Siouxland patients in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. Specifically, he practiced Dermatology in Dakota Dunes and Vermillion, South Dakota, Sioux City, Sioux Center, Ida Grove, and Onawa, Iowa, as well as in Pender and Wayne, Nebraska. Hospital associations include Unity-Point St. Luke’s, Mercy One, Sanford Vermillion, Sioux Center Health, Horn Memorial, Burgess, Pender Hospital, and Providence Medical Center.
Dr. Chabra is committed to caring for pediatric and adult patients for all their medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology needs. He is passionate about providing easier and faster access to dermatologic care in outpatient and inpatient settings, in coordination with the primary care team and other specialists. Teaching, clinical research, and teledermatology are some of Dr. Chabra’s other interests.
Dr. Chabra graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Chemistry and Biological Sciences and an AB in Economics. He obtained his MD and PhD degrees from Stony Brook University. His PhD is in Microbiology and Genetics, and his research focused on developing novel viral vectors for gene therapy. Dr. Chabra completed his Dermatology residency at UPMC, Pittsburgh, where he received extensive training in Pediatric Dermatology at both outpatient clinics, and at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. At UPMC, Dr. Chabra also received extensive training in Mohs surgery through various surgical clinics. In Pittsburgh, Dr. Chabra also worked with Dr. Suzan Obagi in Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Chabra grew up on Long Island, NY. He enjoys playing tennis and spending time with family and friends.
